The UVic website has some fantastic self-help mindfulness resources. It provides links and resources to specific apps (including the Calm app, but also other meditation and mindfulness apps), e-books, worksheets, and other online course type resources for free.

I checked out the Bounce Back Online link, which is a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) self-help program, designed to help individuals with every day problems such as feeling anxious, stressed or depressed. It’s self paced, and you are able to bounce around between the modules to pick and choose which one best suits you. It also provides downloadable worksheets to focus thoughts, and make action plans – journaling or writing down feelings can be very helpful to calm thoughts (or so they say! I am working on this as I work through this my inquiry).
